AP Plumbing sent a great plumber to help me with the replacement of old pipes. He did a great job and was thorough. Everything is running smoothly and there are no more clogs.
AP Plumbing took care of a problem that required replacing much of the sewer drainpipe from the house to the main street sewer line. We were impressed with AP's professionalism and communication. The initial problem was the sewer backing up in the basement. We had a different company come in to the clear the line but they were unsuccessful. This company did suggest the sewer pipe to the street looked like it needed replaced and quoted us the cost of doing the replacement (which involved digging down 10 feet to get to the pipe). We called AP to get a second estimate and they very quickly responded and had someone at the house within hours. They looked over the situation and the AP person who came said that while they were there they would try to clear the sewer line at no charge. They in fact succeeded, after much effort, to clear the clog. AP later sent an estimate for replacing the pipe to the street. Their estimate was half that of the other company, AND true to their word, they did not charge for clearing the initial clog. We waited about 3 weeks to accept the AP proposal for the new pipe to the street and not once did they pressure us to make a decision and accept their proposal. AP did then replace the pipe and they were very good about communicating when they would be there and what they were doing. Apparently the job turned out to be more difficult than anticipated but they finished the work and did not change the final cost from their proposal. AP Plumbing was one of the best experiences we have had with a home repair need.
I called this company to possibly install a low water WD combo between two bathrooms in my home. . They told me there was an $89 fee to come out and give an estimate. They showed up on time and set about "estimating" According to the tech he needed to rip out a wall, and install some kind of vent box and also a drain and two water lines. "It's going to take me an entire day to do this work so my estimate is $6900" Assuming a day is 7 is hours, apparently, this company charges $1000 per hour to do the work. I of course refused this outrageous offer and paid them $100 (with tax) for their time to come out and try to rip me off. No thank you. Beware before you pay them to tell you they intend to shake you down.
The two employees they sent replaced the 20 year old hot water heater we had in the basement. They were very efficient and worked together on putting and taking out the old one. They made sure the new hot water heater was hooked up properly and no gas leaks. They instructed me on how it worked and what it should be set at to be the right temperature. It has worked perfectly since it was installed. We are very happy with the new hot water heater and we would definitely use AP plumbing if we have any plumbing issues in the future.
Will and Pete are so efficient, I was contacted by AP and asked if they could come early! I was given a time of 10:00-12:00. They were done at 9:40. They were very polite and extremely skilled. They thoroughly explained what the issue was with my gas line. Any time I need a plumber, I am calling AP and asking for Will and Pete!
