SOS is a horrible company with no morals what so ever! I bought a house in January 2023 and one of the big selling points for me was that the roof had been replaced the previous summer. After my first winter here the shingles in both valleys appeared to be buckled. Not long after I had two large stains on the ceiling of my house in different rooms due to leaks caused by the poor workmanship of the roof install. I contacted SOS and after several calls they finally came out to assess the situation. They told me the roof was covered under warranty and they would come back out to fix it. I didn't hear anything back from them so I began calling and leaving numerous voicemails. No one ever returned those calls, however they did answer the phone a couple times , very distracted, with a crying child in the background. The employee was very distracted, but each of those times she would say she was going to contact a foreman right away and have them come out the same day. No one ever came out and they eventually stopped answering my calls all together. I am left with a roof that is failing due to their poor workmanship and it is going to cost me over $20,000 to replace the roof and fix the drywall damage from all the leaks. I am in the process of working with an attorney to try to reclaim some of my money but this should have never happened with a new roof. A note to SOS, if you are going to warranty your work, it only matters if you honor that warranty. If you are looking for quality work and trustworthy people DO NOT HIRE SOS. Update: Obviously from the owners response to this they are taking no accountability for their performance and horrible workmanship. Putting the blame on me does not change the fact that the roof you installed on this house is failing after only 2 years. I have proof that someone from your company stated you would honor the warranty due to the situation which you did not. And yes the new company I hired is taking care of "my wants" by providing me with a roof that is installed correctly so that I don't have to worry about more damage to my home in the future. I certainly hope you treat others better than you have treated me.
I feel these folks were skilled, honest and thorough in their work, including the fact they cleaned up my property so thoroughly afterwards that one would never know the work had been done! I did have a dumpster blocking my driveway for over a week and a half, but this was not their fault, as the weather was uncooperative and our dump was closed for several days around Thanksgiving. They communicated well, seem to have done quality work with quality materials, answered all my questions, and promptly corrected an issue I noted with the contracts. I will recommend them to anyone needing roofing/gutter work on their home.
SOS replaced my roof last summer. The entire staff was great to work with from start to finish. The sales rep responded to me quickly and met with me in-person to provide an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The crew worked efficiently; I was amazed at how quickly they completed the project. They replaced the decking material that was damaged and installed high-quality underlayment's to properly protect my roof. The foreman on site answered all my questions and patiently explained everything to me. Dave, the owner, also stopped by personally while the crew was working and then again to do an inspection upon job completion and make sure I was completely satisfied with all the work the crew had completed. The entire process from start to finish went so much smoother than I anticipated it would. I am so excited to know that my new roof has a 50 year manufacturer warranty in addition to the SOS workmanship warranty. I would highly recommend SOS to anyone who needs a roof replacement - easy to work with, knowledgeable staff, great communication, efficient work!
We had a roof replaced two weeks ago by SOS. There were four guys and a lady that came over to the house and did a wonderful wonderful job. They removed two roofs from my house and install the new roof and a skylight and it came out absolutely beautiful. They also have a foreman by the name of Trey who was on site and made sure everything was taken care of properly. If I had another house, I would use them again too.
I would highly recommend this company, even though I didn’t end up using them. They came out quickly to give me an estimate and also suggested to check with a mason. I ended up having to have my chimney replaced completely so I didn’t need to use them. They were very good about refunding my deposit. If I have any roofing needs in the future, I will certainly reach out to them.
